Chibuike Iroegbu, is a leadership consultant and an integrated marketing communication
strategist with through-the line-line competencies, with over five years’ experience in
strategic communication and content creation in both for profit and nonprofit sector. He
earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Ebonyi State University Abakaliki
Nigeria, Diploma Degree in Business Management and Leadership and has since earned
various certifications in many Leadership Institutes in Nigeria and across West Africa.
He is a fellow of Democracy Series for Participatory Learning and Actions by Youth (DESPLAY)
West Africa, an Alumnus of the International Youth Diplomacy, Ghana. Recently, he was
nominated as the Nigerian Coordinator for World Youth Congress and also Global Peace
Ambassador. Over the past two years, Chibuike has advocated against Drug Abuse and
Addiction as well as Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) among the youth by creating
Inspired Generation Leadership Training which helps the self-esteem of the girl child and
adolescent youths and leadership project implemented in over five secondary schools,
reaching about five hundred teenage girls and leading a campaign to set up drug free clubs
in Abuja, connecting and empowering young people to say no to drug abuse and addiction.
Currently, as the Program Officer at Anglican Compassion and Development Initiative (ACADI), he
has assisted in the campaign against Drug and Substance Abuse and Addiction, in partnership with
the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), which would ensure drug demand reduction
among the young people. He has created a youth friendly content, with messages focused on
mitigating the impact of SGBV as well as drug demand reduction among the youth of Nigeria and
this has led to increase awareness, breaking the silent culture towards reduction of the rate of SGBV
in several communities.
